Book Reviews of The Female BrainBook Review: The Female Brain Book Review Summary: 5 Stars
The Female Brain is one of the greatest books I've read. This book is so helpful for women from all walks of life, be a mom, teenager and even a grandma. Brizendine explains in concrete detail the different effects of hormones in men and women and most of all she gives situations wherein normal people without a medical degree can relate too. What also makes the book a great read is because Brizendine even relates her own experiences to her readers. With this book, I am now understanding myself better especially when I have my mood swings or when Im feeling depressed. Guys should also read this book to understand their wives and girlfriends so that they won't tear their eyes out anymore once we women start balling out like crazy over a baby shampoo commercial. I swear, this book will probably be a key factor in saving your relationships with the oppposite sex.
Book Review: Enlightening and entertaining Summary: 5 Stars
Dr. Brizendine finally explained why everything that happens ... really happens. The book is full of lightly peppered scientific explanations for all that we know to be true about women. There are a few surprises and some of the revelations are truly amazing. She explains, in a light manner, the hows and why of why females relate to the rest of the world. She's answered many of the questions I ever had about why people react to each other the way they do.
I'd love to see every woman read this book, since forewarned is forearmed. Well done, Dr. Brizendine! I look forward to your writing a book on "The Male Brain." From a woman with that "zest".

Book Review: A MUST READ for MEN and Women Summary: 5 Stars
Dr. Brizendine has done a great service to all men and women in her scientific yet very readable and enjoyable book. I have told ALL my friends to get a copy of this book. Women will read it and say Yes, yes, yes, I KNEW I was not crazy--at 15 or 55. Men will read it and say "Oh my goodness, she is not crazy after all." And we will all know how to get along much better as a result. I am a medical/mental health professional and now have a great resource to refer people to as I explain "It's not in your/her head." This is a wonderful beginning in explaining to us all the biological bases of behavior and emotion. Thank you Dr. Brizendine!
Book Review: A must read for both women and men! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a literary romp through the whys and wherefores of the female brain and the evolved behaviors that are wired into that brain. Dr. Brizendine skillfully takes the reader through the life stages of a woman, devoting each chapter to a different stage (e.g. "Teen Girl Brain", "Mommy Brain"). She uses real life examples from her clinical patients and weaves her stories with compassion, intelligence, and humor. Every man and woman who reads this wonderful book will want to quote her statistics and smile at memorable life stages in their own lives. It is a great gift for girl friends and boy friends!
Book Review: The Female Brain Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent book, I highly recommend it. I wish I had read this book 30 years ago, I would have been a kinder, more thoughtful person. Although I am not an expert on women (two divorces, taught junior high school for a while) this book goes a long way in explaining alot of behaviour I have observed over the years.
Note that feminists and "girlie" men will likely have a problem with this book and give it a low rating, they don't want to admit that there are fundamental biological and mental differences between men and women.
