Book Review: The third Animorphs book . . . from the viewpoint of a HAWK?

It deals with Tobias, the third member of the Animorphs, as he struggles to adapt to his new life as a nothlit - human trapped in morph. More heart-rending than the others, but even without the slushy stuff, it's still a great read.

Tobias used to be a normal kid along with Jake, Rachel, Cassie, and Marco. Then they were given the power to morph, change into any creature they touch. They have to use this power to defeat the Yeerks, an alien species which has come to enslave Earh by entering the minds of humans. The morphing power has many drawbacks. The worst one being that you cannot stay as an animal for more than two hours. Oherwise, you stay that way. This is what happened to Tobias. Now he is constantly fighting the instincts of his new hawk body. Will he be able to resist them for long and help his friends, the Animorphs, destroy a Yeerk ship?Book Review: Redtailed Approves

A delightful find. This is the third book in the young adult/teen series "Animorphs" in which the character Tobias permanently becomes a Red-tailed Hawk. The Animorphs story is generally very good and the characters interesting and rich. The author manages to write about the animal aspects in a believable way. I usually find transformation and shapeshifting stories to have story lines that make the whole point of transformation become lost. Applegate keeps the adventure intact by being descriptive, entertaining, and involving. This series is a must-read for those who enjoy animals, shapeshifting, and adventure.Book Review: one of the greatest of the Greatest Series in history

This is a really great book because it tells about how Tobias lives as a hawk. He's really smart as a hawk because he's really a human. The part when he freed the hawk from the cage at the cars dealer's was a close call for Tobias. It was a very good part when everyone but Tobias turns into fish and Tobias has to carry them into the lake to be sucked up into this yeerk space ship where they try to find out what's going on with the yeerks sucking up water. They get stuck in the ship and have to tread water because they turned back to human until Tobias wrecks the ship and saves them.
