Book Review: Well done non-fiction for kids

My children love this book. It is an interesting and engaging look at what life as a baby penguin might look like. Little bits of humor are interspersed (like one passage which describes the mommy penguin vomitting the baby penguin's first meal into its mouth) strike just the right tone for young kids.
Another poster mentioned the sexist tone of the book. I must admit that I groaned a bit at the passage she mentioned (in which the author says basically that it must be nice to be able to take off for months while dad takes care of the newborn), but took it in the joking manner in which I believe it was intended. Other than that joke, I actually liked the focus on the dad's relationship with the egg/chick. A very nice change from all the children's books that make it seem a mother is the only important person in a child's life.
