The Druidcraft Tarot is a fabulously illustrated deck! It is suitable for novice and seasoned reader alike. Each card, like a separate painting, is deeply etched with symbolism. Even though your eyes eagerly explore these lovely images, they are clear and easy to understand.
The book that accompanies the Deck is one of the best I've ever read. It weaves Wiccan and Druid lore with some of the most detailed, carefully wrought instruction I've ever seen. This set is also an excellant transition for beginners who are ready to make the jump from a more traditional deck to something new. My wife, Lynda has reccomended it to all of her students.

I am relatively new to Tarot and have only experienced 4 different decks up to now, but this is by far my favorite. The cards have beautiful artwork that speaks to the intuition while being pleasing to the eye. When a different perspective is needed, the book that comes with the deck provides ample information about each card and many potential meanings.
There are a few changes to the names of the traditional Tarot cards because of the Wiccan/Druidic belief structure (i.e., no Devil), so those unfamiliar with those paths may rely on the enclosed book a bit more, but this only adds to the readings.

When I was trying to find my first tarot deck I did a lot of research. I spent a lot of time online, mainly because there are not many stores that carry a lot of cards and I didn't want to just buy any deck. I wanted to be able to connect and work with the deck. I made a list of sets that I liked but I always kept coming back to this deck. So I bought it and I looooove it. I use the deck frequently. I know some complain about the size of the cards but I actually like it. The art is very pretty, and I like how they mix traditions. The art work alone on this deck makes it worth the price of purchase. However, this is not just an art deck. The DruidCraft Tarot is also a very practical divination deck with symbolism derived from ancient Celtic traditions and lore such as those found in the Mabinogian. The book that comes with the deck is an easy read and will take you on a telling journey through the archetypal significance of the major arcana and gives solid correspondences and suggested meanings for the minors. I bought this deck for the images and purely for the pictures! And was very very happy. I found the book quite comprehensive and the images are quite evocative.
In any reading, the tarot reader connects to the images and the Intuitive forces then guide him using this visual imagery. I have always connected more easily to pictures rather than numbers - and so I was quite thrilled to have this deck in my collection!
In conclusion, this is really one deck that you should have in your collection!
