The Double Bind! I was determined not to read it at a single sitting, but just could not put it down. Fast paced, riveting, wonderful characters!

Excellent story development. The ending was a total surprise. I highly recommend this book.

The book was unreal. It felt slow at times, but when you get to the end...WOW!

To be honest, it took me several false starts to get into this book. I've never read The Great Gatsby (I know, gasp and such) so I was finding it difficult to get into the historical references. Chris Bohjalian does a good job with pacing. He reveals just enough at key points in the story to make you really want to pick the book back up and read just a little bit more. And the ending... well I won't spoil it, because I DO recommend this book.. but the ending is not what you would expect. At all. Not many books make me exclaim out-loud when I finish it (the most recent would have been A Long Long Time Ago and Essentially True), so that definitely puts this book into the class of one of the better ones I've read this year
