Previously on Animorphs: (The Revelation, #45) Marco told his father the truth about the Animorphs and Yeerks. Visser One returned to Earth. The Animorphs were able to destroy the Yeerk, Edris 562 and free Marco's mother who was its host. She tells them that Visser One was sent to build the Anati defenses and to draw the Andalite fleet, which will be destroyed on arrival by Dracon beams located on all of the moons. At Present: (The Deception, #46): The Animorphs manage to contact the Andalite world, to warn them. Now, Visser Two arrives on Earth, and he' not happy about the state of things. He decides the best way to take over Earth is to have humans destroy everything the Yeerks don't need. He decides to start World War III. The Animorphs have only two choices: Find a way to stop the war. Or, find a way to stop him...forever...
