I've read and enjoyed every book Dean Koontz has written but not this one. The cruelty described was very disturbing. Half way through I trashed it. Only other time I've done that with a favored author was Gerald's Game By Stephen King. I've never considered myself all that sensitive. Maybe I'm getting old.
