Book Review: A Must Have Book for Beginners

This is a wonderful reference guide for anyone using crystals. The color pictures are great and there is extensive information given on each crystal which I have found invaluable in my work with chakras. It's great for people not that familiar with the healing powers of crystals. She covers how they are helpful from various standpoints including psychological and physical. She also shows how to care for the crystals as well.The compact size of the book is great for taking with you when shopping for crystals. This is the most user friendly crystal book I have come across.Book Review: Fantastic resource for rockhounds, healers, & pagans.

Besides color pictures of crystals (some in more than one version), this book includes information on color, appearance and where it originates from. Something which is good to know if you are concerned about the mining practices of certain countries.
Each crystal also has a section on how to use it for healing, including where to place on the body and what aliments it's used to treat. However Pagans and Witches will also find the information on attributes a great resource for developing their own use of crystals in spells and rituals.

I picked this book up a few weeks ago and have really been enjoying it. The physical format is neat and handy, small enough to tote along but still thick and in full-color. And besides the information on the healing properties of various gems, it's a very good illustrated reference to the stones themselves. I own quite a few other books on gems and jewelry, but this one is by far the easiest to use for looking up and identifying specific stones, since it's alphabetized, and it provides the greatest amount of information and photos of each stone.Book Review: This is the ONE book you must have!!!!

Start with this crystal book and then add the others as you feel drawn. That is my two bits worth! This book has it all - pictures, descriptions at all levels, guidance on how to work with crystals and so much more. My copy is tattered, torn and worn - sure sign of a favorite at my house! Probably a book I will literally WEAR OUT from use - like a favorite pair of shoes. Buy this one, you will never regret it. I have also picked up several more books by the same author and have enjoyed them almost as much.Book Review: A great book for beginners.

I just started exploring the world of crystal healing, and this book has been AMAZINGLY helpful. Not only does it contain all of the information you would expect regarding properties of different types of crystals, but it also provides practical information on how to store, cleanse, and energize your crystals. So far, the other books on crystal healing that I have read take for granted that you will already know how to do these things. It has really been an invaluable resource to me as a beginner.
