Book Review: Excellent Crystal Reference
Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this book about a year ago, and am still amazed at the amount of information conveyed within it! Since I've always loved crystals, and relatively recently began to explore spirituality (where the use of crystals seems quite important), I decided to go ahead and purchase this book.
When I ordered it, I thought that I would easily be able to memorize whatever info. was included for each crystal - I had NO idea just how many different crystals there were, and the extensive amount of info. that would be included for each! I can now see why it's used as a reference - as opposed to "light reading"!
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in crystals, and their many uses. It's jam packed with beautiful pictures and in depth info.

I don't know what I would do without this book in my collection. Each and every listing in this book (200+) has full colour photographs of the stone/crystal in question, making it an indispensable resource for identifying unlabeled specimens. With a bit of study, you can wow other people by your ability to recognize a stone by just peeking at it - the pictures are really that great!
Listings include information on well known and obscure stones alike, natural and manufactured, detailing metaphysical and healing properties, letting you know just how to use/where to place them to use them to their full potential. The properties of different colours/shapes of stones are also covered.
This will be a book that you will consult often. Worth every penny!

This book is the first place I go when I need to identify a gemstone or crystal. The pictures are very true to life and it is easy to find what you are looking for. There are 400 pages covering Crystal Formation, Crystal Selection, Crystal Care, Crystal Healing, Crystal Meditation, Crystal Formation, Crystal Decoration, Crystal Shapes, Crystal Directory, Crystal Background, Quick Reference, Index, Glossary, and Useful Information. Over 200 crystals are featured, and hundreds of wonderful color photos are included, generously scattered throughout the entire book. This book has all kinds of extras including entries about crystal protection, crystal attraction, and bringing love into your life.
Book Review: very good overview of many popular stones

This is a handy primer, with pictures, to grab when you want to know the metaphysical qualities of a particular stone, but don't feel like turning on the computer and doing the searches.
the color pictures are helpful in identifying stones as well. If you are looking at a particular stone, and would like to know what it is, there is a fair chance you will be able to find it by looking through the pictures here.
The book does not include all of the stones I want to know about, but it does cover a good many of them, so it is on my "first go-to" list when I need to look something up.

This book is the most informative book for anyone starting out with Crystals for healing, Reiki or Wicca and need information on what stones to use for what purpose. The pictures and information are clear and easy to understand. Excellent reference book for the more experienced Crystal healer, Reiki or Wicca. The most complete book on Crystals I have ever come across. Invaluable whether you are just dabbling or seriously committed to working with Crystals and what they can do.
I highly recommend this book above all others for your collection. You will use it over and over again.
