Book Reviews of The Concrete Blonde (Harry Bosch)Book Review: The best Summary: 5 Stars
Michael Connelly is the best in this genre. After reading all Harry Bosch books several times, I have reached a conclusion that this is the pinnacle of the popular Harry Bosch series. The characters and plot are so realistic, you'd think you know them in person. I can't complement enough about this book. I keep buying his new books but they are somehow sterile and processed compared to his earlier work. Here in this book, you can smell the odor of the LA street, porn shop, courtroom and Bosch himself.
Book Review: Superb thriller Summary: 5 Stars
Michael Connelly is a writer of thrillers out of the ordinary. His appetite for Hieronimus Bosh, the detective strong personality, endearing, noble sentiments, insightful, human is shared with the reader. "The Concrete Blonde" grips your guts and does not leave you a moment of respite. Stress will go crescendo. Bright story. Rebondissements, surprises, tiredness, ... Nothing is spared to the reader who asks himself who is the killer. Great art. One of the best Connelly.
Book Review: The Concrete Blonde Summary: 5 Stars
Michael Connelly really roped me in on this one. Just about I had the story figured out and knew "whodunit" he threw another wrench in the fire. Kept me totally engrossed from the very first to the last word on the last page. Truly a page turner! Treat yourself to the package Amazon has right now with "The Concrete Blonde" and the "Lincoln Lawyer". They are 2 of the best books I have read this year and I read a lot!
Book Review: Top notch mystery Summary: 5 Stars
A civil trial brings the a vicious serial killer back into Harry Bosch's life. What seemed like a closed case, involving a dead killer, mutates into a hunt for a second, more sadistic murderer.
Los Angeles comes to life in this book. Harry is a great character, aware of his flaws. The mystery of the Follower is great, keeping the reader guessing until the end. The Concrete Blonde is a compelling read.
Book Review: Fabulous, as always! Summary: 5 Stars
I have recently re-read this (I first read it in the late '90s after Michael Connelly was recommended by a friend) and I have to say MC has never failed to disappoint, "Concrete Blonde" included. I love that Michael Connelly can write "gotcha" mysteries with failed, real characters. If Bosch were real living/breathing person, I would be honored if I could count him as one of my friends.
