A fine scholarly edition of the poems of Emily Dickinson. This collection gives the reader Dickinson's poems as she actually wrote them. I've seen versions of her poems on the internet with incorrect capitalization and incorrect punctuation and misplaced lines. On a college web site I read "After great pain, a formal feeling comes" with an interpretation, apparently by the instructor, that I found in part ridiculous--and unthinkable if the poem had been reproduced accurately. When in doubt, get a book!!!Book Review: Excellent

Emily Dickinson is an poet that has poems that are usually taken the wrong way. This book is an excellent way for people to understand the meaning of the poetry by Emily Dickinson. I personally enjoy poetry, and I especially think that Emily Dickinson is a very profound poet. She is one of my favorites. This book is an excellent way to start out in poetry if you have not paid any attention to poetry before. It is also an EXCELLENT way for people who are poetry lovers to expand your horizon.Book Review: A Decadent Pleasure

The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson is an amazing collection- the definitive collection, if you will, and I am having the best time enjoying it. (I'm reading 10 poems a day, to make it last)
I haven't read Emily D. since high school, and that was about 35 years ago, so it's been a real pleasure to come back to her wonderful works.
My opinion: buy it! To me, Emily's poems are akin to being surrounded by Godiva chocolate, and having to eat my way out! Delicious.
Book Review: The best American poet of all time

This is a great collection of Emily Dickinson's poems. Every poem she ever wrote, from her earliest verses as a teenager to later, even unfinished fragments, is here, arranged in chronological order. I was first drawn to her work in high school and fell in love with this volume when I first came across it, a little later. The breadth of her work - as well as the themes and ideas she explores - is astonishing. A superb book, for anyone wishing to become fully acquainted with Dickinson.
