Book Reviews of The Complete Conversations with GodBook Review: Can I put 10 stars here???? Summary: 5 Stars
I am still just barely into book one and I am HOOKED!!! This is some of the most insightful reading I have EVER come across. I can not recommend this book enough. Even if you are a person who believes that God stopped talking to us with John of Revelation, you will get something out of this book.
As Mr. Walsch says early on. Read the book, take what you know to be true with you and leave the rest behind.
I am willing to bet that even the most conservative Christian, Muslim or Jewish person will find at least parts of this book inspirational.
Note that I did say all three religions. Also Hindu and any other religion that believes in a supreme being will benefit from this book.
It is up to you as to how much you get out of it but I guarantee that you will not think you are wasting your money.
This is all three books together and if I had it to do over, I would have bought the three separate. First off it is cheaper if you read book one and do not find anything of value in it. But primarily because the book is daunting. I've been reading this book for about a month and have only made it to chapter 2. I have to read a passage and really think about it before moving on. It is THAT good.
I do want to add my vote to another reviewer though. I HATED the way the book was physically presented. I expected books 1, 2 and 3 each with dust covers and in a reasonably nice box. What this is, is all three books in one massive book (which makes it intimidating) and no dust cover, the "box" is simply an outer box that is discarded and the pages are that cheap 1940 ragged cut style.
If I could do it all over again I woudl have bought books 1,2 and 3 separately.
Book Review: This book may very well change your life...at least your outlook on the meaning of your life. Summary: 5 Stars
It's difficult for me to put my thoughts into words; my thoughts are so powerful and emotionally charged about this book. If only everyone reading this review could perceive my emotion, all would understand what I'm talking about without having to read the book. In the meantime, since most of us aren't able to do that yet, I highly...highly, highly recommend this book. I started out with the first CWG book (a quick easy-read) and was so emotionally/spiritually charged, I wanted more and decided to buy the 3-book edition. The trilogy has been an absolute God-send and has exponentially promoted (Universe-rocketed is a better term) my spiritual growth. At every opportunity I have verbally shared my enthusiasm about what I have gained from reading the CWG series, and have bought several copies to share with loved ones who I felt needed understanding and encouragement. I can't wait for the whole of humanity (human consciousness) to embrace and remember the Good News (THIS is the Good News my beloved brothers and sisters)... presented to Neale Donald Walsh via the heavenly embrace of emotion... to be inscribed by him on paper, then shared for the purpose of enlightenment and growth. (Thanks God! for yet more physical evidence of Your unconditional, omnipresent, unending, never forsaking LOVE for us)
p.s. nobody paid me to write this, and I hope this review doesn't come off this way. LOL. I just would like to enlighten anyone reading this review as to what I now remember, i.e., the purpose of living on this plane of existance is to reMEMBER! How exciting is that!?!
Book Review: It's a wake up call. Summary: 5 Stars
I have read nearly all of Mr. Walsch's books. The CwG series IS the world's wake up call. You must have an open mind to be able to see the true depth of this series. At one time, I used to believe as the naysayers. Then I started to wake up and truely see the illusion, for what it really is. People find that the hardest thing to accept is that what we truely believe in may not have been presented through the generations correctly. People have a hard time accepting that any belief, great or small, may not be totally correct. The closed minded will never see this. The wise and opened mined person will. I highly admire Mr. Walsch for revealing to the world, what he transscribed from his conversations with God. I truely and deeply believe what he has written. I believe because I can now see, for when before I could not. His works are far from rubbish. Most believe the Bible in it's present form must be accepted as is. I submit, where is the version of the Bible before it was ordered to be edited by Emperor Constitine in 325? Do you want the truth? Simply by learning to meditate on a daily basis, will allow everyone see that we are here to recreate ourselves anew in greatest version of the grandest vision of who we really are. ONLY IF you are truly honest with yourself and learn Meditation, you will then believe in these treasured works. I recommend "Spiritual Breakthrough" by John van Auken to learn meditation. It's the how to guide to reach the consciousness of God.
Book Review: We Might Well Be Able To Change The World Thanks To This Man... Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot find the words to encompass just how life altering these books are. They offer such a unique and refreshing perspective on so many mysteries and questions we've all pondered. I will confess that when I took a peek through the first edition, I was highly skeptical. I mean, I had just finished reading 'SETH...the eternal validity of the soul' by Jane Roberts, and I wasn't ready for such another similar, yet fresh 'channeling'. My mind was already too overloaded by doubts in everything I'd ever believed in...which was religion. So I put it aside. Later...after many months, and a difficult soul shifting I experienced, I returned to these books for further insight and I was hooked. Neale Donald Walsh is such a subtly in your face, yet likeable author who doesn't pull any punches or exaggerate the material to please the literary snobs. He keeps it real. These books just make sense on every level. It's time for humanity to quit clinging to a fatally flawed...numerously revised...and narrow minded global brainwashing and really open their minds to spiritual truth. Might I also remind that The Holy Bible is a 'conversation with God'...written by men, not unlike Walsh? So why would this material be so difficult to accept as authentic? Perhaps because many are AFRAID of the truth. Much more than they are afraid of death.
Book Review: RE-WRITING OUR BELIEFS.. Summary: 5 Stars
WHAT A WONDERFUL MESSAGE TO THE WORLD! When it needs a message of hope, love, empowerment, humanity and divinity like this one the most.
From my experience, I know that this book looked for me.. and elusive as I was, it found me when I was ready. I'm sorry for those who pick up these books and cannot feel inspired, accepted, forgiven and blessed. But I understand. I recognize that not everyone is ready and open for a message of such magnitude and meaning yet.
Call me naive, but I believe that some of the topics discussed in these books could not have been written by our human imagination. They reveal so much of what we have, as humans, learned/understood/remembered so far, and hint our potential for what we can become, learn, and how we can live as a progressive human race.. In peace with our noosphere, equal in our rights and belongings, without the fear to fail, cooperating together to make this life work for all. Without exceptions and conditions. And if these concepts are not 'moral' or worth imagining, then ..we don't know who we are.
Allow yourself to be touched by these books, even if you don't agree with everything, and experience that who you could become in your highest thought.
