Vasant Lad's The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies is a wonderful opus which provides both easy, straight-forward explanations for remedies while assisting the interested and engaged student to learn the sanskrit of the remedies from an Ayurvedic point of view. Specifically important is our "tridoshas," the three body types that we all have that must be in good balance for essential self-healing. Those who want to learn more about Ayurveda and its connection to astrology, the basis of all spiritual traditions, will connect the fire, earth-water, air-either connection of the four elements of the astrological chart and each person's temperament.
