Book Reviews of The Cole Protocol (Halo)Book Review: A pretty good read Summary: 4 Stars
I read all the other Halo books. With one exception, they focus on Spartans and Covenant more than other characters. This book is another exception; the main characters are UNSC marines and civilians. Some familiar characters show up, like Commander Keyes and some gangly Prophets.
It's a decent read that fleshes out the back story to "The Rubble", a collection of asteroids strung together to make a livable ecosystem. The book is well written and has good pacing. Again, a decent read if you like the other Halo books.
Book Review: Worth a read Summary: 4 Stars
This book is a jack of all trades, yet masters none. This does give some background as to how nasty the Insurrection war really was, but only touches on the subject. The "Gray Team", Keyes, and more Covenant background were also thrown into the mix. Overall it was a good read, but I was left with a feeling that this was "sudo-Halo". The author definitely has the skills, lets just hope he takes some constructive criticism and gives us the next "Fall of Reach" (which is IMO the pinnacle of Halo lore).
Book Review: Review Halo: The cole protocol Summary: 4 Stars
This 6th part of the novels, shows a look on the war between UNSC, Covenant and Insurrectionists.
But also explains more about the Spartan's Gray team and the history about Jacob Keyes.
Again the tension builds up nearing the end of the book making it hard not to read the book in one time.
The Cole Protocol is a must for those who already have read the previous novels and it is worth reading for those interested in Halo universe
Book Review: Another look at the "Innies" Summary: 4 Stars
This book offers a great and distant setting prior to the fall of reach. It is an enjoyable story of the Halo universe and a great opportunity to get to know other Spartans-II. If you've read the other books you will find yourself right at home while reading this one.
If you do not play video games, or you are not aware of what Halo is, this book still offers a great science fiction tale for those who enjoy a good read.
Book Review: Very good read Summary: 4 Stars
This book dosn't realy add much to the overall Halo universe, but it does expand it a little bit and also gives you a look at what the Spartan II's have been doing. If you like the other Halo books, then you will like this one too.
