Book Review: A must read for those seeking a higher meaning in life.
Summary: 5 Stars
What starts as a simple mystery for this young man turns into a quest for an ancient manuscript, lost (or hidden) in the Peruvian rain forests. A manuscript which offers the keys to the meaning of life itself. As the adventure unfolds the young man finds himself drawn down a path of no return, fraught with dangers and unknowns. But it's also a path of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual enlightenment, and one he is compelled to follow. This book is about experiencing life on a deeper level of knowing and being. It offers insights into the meaning behind our patterned behaviors and why we keep repeating the same old ways even when they never bring fulfillment. It also guides us through the process of enlightenment for positive change in our lives. When discussing this book with other readers, I have found almost unfailingly that it either had profound meaning for their personal lives, or no meaning whatsoever. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground. It is a work of fiction, one man's vision. The choice to embrace it not is yours, and yours alone. If you're on a path seeking meaning and empowerment in your life, I'd certainly recommend this book. It's easy reading and not very long. If you've read it in the past and found no meaning, try it again. Timing is everything, my friends.Book Review: Keep this Book and Read it Again

I gave this book five stars because it was a page turner for me. A lot of the content could have been "dry" without the plot and adventure to keep the reader turning the pages to see what is going to happen next.
The world has changed drastically since James Redfield wrote this book, and I feel it is even more important to read now than it was when it was first published. People have become so multi-task oriented, that they have forgotten how to be in the moment which is so important. Also, the internet has de-personalized relationships and day to day dealings.
The eighth chapter is "The Interpersonal Ethic" and deals with the eighth insight. I don't think I am being a "spoiler" by saying it deals with focusing all of your attention on a person doing the speaking -- giving them also your support. I see so many people walking, driving, etc., with a cell phone to their ear, not giving anyone the undivided attention they deserve.
I read this book in the late 1990's and then again yesterday. The information is still very relevant. It is helpful in understanding yourself and understanding others.
Extremely helpful is the companion workbook to go with "The Celestine Prophecy" -- I highly recommend it as it fleshes out a lot of the concepts in this book.
Book Review: A good guide to your destiny

First off, I don't know -- and am truly amazed -- why this book has got such lousy reviews! It's not a Pulitzer-winning kind of writing but what's written here is really marvellous. It's not very original stuff. But for those of us who are just entering the portals of spiritual experiences or just about really starting to discover our true selves, this is a great kick-off point. It's put together a lot of theories from the ancient and contemporary spiritual thinkers and has done so in a pretty convincing manner. Life's coincidences no longer seem to be coincidences. And there is a method in the madness of what we call life. These are some of the main tips that this book provides you. It takes you into yourself -- what you find out there is, after all, upto you. And if it's part of your life plan, you should get enough food for thought from this book and its sequels (the fourth, the Experiential Guide to The Fourth Insight is the best). Lastly, I believe that this book has the ability to heal yourself and as The Tenth Insight almost pleads, you have the ability to play a role in healing the world. Really. But I'm not going to try and convince you more. If you HAVE to read this book, you WILL, good reviews or bad reviews notwithstanding.Book Review: Opening of the soul

This is the first book of many i have read about supposedly self help. This book does not fall under this category but once you have read it you will have no choice but to help yourself. In my considered opinion this is the greatest parable of all time. For anyone looking to find themselves this has the answers. And it is given in such a way to make you find them. It does not give them to you, does not tell you how to do things, or even hint that it has the answers. But once it has been read it grasps you and pulls you inside of yourself. You will think and find yourself because it makes so much sense. It sets aside your personal experiences and presents itself to you as if your not included. It allows you to see what would happen to someone else. The only question left is "Can that happen to me?" This book has provided and exponentially increased my spirituality to its fullest. I recommend this book for everyone. I have leant my copy and asked others opinion. And to see another persons life change from something is a beautiful thing to be apart of. My greatest thanks to the author for providing something that the world needs so badly.Book Review: An absolutely amazing book!

This book have changed lives. It helps you to see the world around you in a totally different light. There are nine insights described in this book and as you understand each one, you will start seeing positive changes in yourself aa well as in your surroundings.
From this book you can learn how to find your place in this life, how to follow the guidance provided to us by the Universe, and even how to improve your romantic relationships as well as friendships.
