Book Reviews of The Bridges of Madison CountyBook Review: Steve Riden of BC Law sez two thumbs way up Summary: 5 Stars
One of my favorite books--maybe Tom Clancie and Michael Kryton come close. I know of no other book, though, that expresses my feelings more fully. Nay sayers who dislike Bridges are just not with it. At Junior College we studied Faulkner and heard how he was so great, but RJW seems a much, much, much better writer.
Book Review: #1 love story of the year Summary: 5 Stars
The boook "The bridges of madison county" was the best love story i have ever read. It is a book that makes you feel like the charachter. You go through almost the same emotions as the charachter, its a good book that i would definatly rcomend it for those people out there who like love stories.
Book Review: Wonderfully romantic tear-jerker Summary: 5 Stars
I must admit that I did in fact read the book after I saw the movie, and was astonished at my reaction. When I saw the movie I was crying within the first five minutes and never stopped, and at one point actually sobbing. The book same reaction. I have never been so moved by a story.
Book Review: magical, lyrical, a true joy Summary: 5 Stars
Waller's book is a joy to read. It is magical, lyrical. The tenderness shared by the characters raises the sprit to a new level. Call it a "woman's book" if you like -- men could learn a lot from reading it. The book is a "quiet" tribute to a small moment in time.
Book Review: The most powerful account of true romance I have ever read Summary: 5 Stars
This was a powerful, moving tale of two souls who had been searching for each other for an entire lifetime...and beyond. I am glad I had the good fortune to experience the romance between Francesca and Kincaid. I am the better for reading this novel, and I will remember it always.
