Book Reviews of The Bridges of Madison CountyBook Review: A TRULY BELIEVABLE LOVE STORY Summary: 5 Stars
The story unfolds through the eyes of children after the death of their mother. Everyone on this earth has their secrets. Some are never told -- some, like this one, are revealed on a persons death. These children were now grown -- and could understand their mothers intense feelings. The version I saw on T.V. was beautifully acted out. I can still remember the emotional impact it had on me.
Book Review: I adored this novel! Summary: 5 Stars
Many people thought this novel was drivel & poorly-written. I disagree wholeheartedly. It isn't often that I finish a book & hold it to my chest, close my eyes, take a long, deep breath & feel the passion and pain of the characters. This story made me think of my own "lost love" and I felt that Waller's prose captured that feeling very honestly.

In the Bridges of Madison County, the reader meets Francesca Johnson. A middle-aged woman living in rural Iowa, married yet very lonely. A traveling photographer, Robert Kincaid, shows up on her doorstep one warm Summer afternoon looking for directions. Thus begins a brief encounter between the two but would linger in their hearts and memories for a lifetime.

For people who have loved and lost, this book might give them some comfort. When you have to make decisions that are not favorable to your heart's whish, you'll find courage in reading this book. For those who never need to make such decision, let me just say "Don't think that it will never happen just because you don't know it!"
Book Review: Nice story of love! Summary: 5 Stars
Bridges of Madison County is a sweet little love story. If you are looking for a quick read and like authors along the same lines as Nicholas Sparks or Will North, you will like this book. I would recommend it to whoever is a romantic at heart. Bridges would make for an excellent summer read on the beach or wherever you might be.
