Book Review: Fantastic!

This is one of the most intense stories I have ever read. Don't let the small size fool you. The book is chock full of real-life emotions. I never cry at movies or stories I've read, but I have to admit--I felt like a fool reading the book on the subway with tears streaming down my face. It's a realistic story about realistic people. It conveys the feelings we've all felt at some time, and it will touch the hearts of anyone who reads it.Book Review: Must Read

If you've been in love for years this rekindles the passon, if you are falling in love this explains exactly how youre feeling and if you're still waiting this expresses everything one can hope for. I suppose it depends on the frame of mind one reads this book it. I am usually averse to romance novels, and the reason I bought book is because this is all the bookshop at the train station had before I boarded my train. However, I was pleasantly surprised - the simplicity of the language and presentation just highlights how close to real life this book is. I have read this book at least a dozen times & have learned something about love and sacrifice each time. It is to me, the most profound love story ever written.In it's simplicity lies it's lyrical treasures. Try reading it aloud. Each word will roll off your tongue as hushed whispers in a candlelit Iowan kitchen. And, yes, as the author suggests in his foreward...you too may even learn to "dance" again~~
Book Review: You either love it or hate it - I loved it.

I read this years ago - pre-marriage and perhaps in a more 'romanticized' time of my life. But any book that can make me SOB (and I do mean sob) uncontrollobly can't be that poorly written.
I had my boyfriend read it because I was so moved by it. He didn't quite agree with my opinion.
However I thought the love story was perfect (horribly sad - but perfect).
I recommend it.
