Book Review: surprisingly good

I don't normally read romance unless it's mixed with something else. This one is truly a romance regardless of the fact that the hero has powers, but I was immersed in this story like few books are capable of doing. I thought Carroll did a fabulous job in creating the landscape of the story and the people involved. Especially, the magically inclined family and it's ancestors. The blossoming relationship between the couple was superbly done and very endearing.
This is my first book by this author, but I definitely plan to look up more by her.
