Book Review: New to Michael Connelly and really enjoying his work!

I recently decided to read Michael Connelly and I am really enjoying his books. Black Ice is my second Connelly book given I've decided to read them in order. What I loved about Black Echo and now Black Ice is how intricate and well thought through the plots are. In Black Ice, Harry Bosch aggressively investigates the deaths of two fellow officers even though his superiors would prefer he leave things alone. His investigation takes him to Mexico and it is interesting how Connelly depicts law enforcement south of the border. Like in most murder mysteries, Harry eventually gets his man but you might be suprised by who that man turns out to be...I was!Book Review: Great police thriller!

It is my first book of Harry Bosh' series (but I've read other books by Michael Conelly that I liked) and I was impressed. There are many novels with the motif of 'lone wolf' but it is difficult to make the reader really like the main hero. This book is the one. The plot seems totally logical and realistic, and at the ame time intriguing until the end. Mexican background, including Harry' adventures there, seems real and interesting. The police work in LA is described with such details that you definetely get the atmosphere the writer tried to convey. Definitely recommended to all fans of mistery novels and police thrillers.Book Review: SECOND HARRY BOSCH

I said in my review of the first Bosch book that I couldn't wait for the second. If they are all like the first two, what a series! THE BLACK ICE is a great mystery and once again, Bosch is struggling with the accusations of the past. The death of police officer Cal Moore pulls Harry into the chase for an answer. Bosch is such a great detective and we get to follow clue by clue. Thank you , Michael Connelly for this detective. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in this genre. Gotta love that Harry, this is an older book that I somehow missed and the really freaky thing about it was the day it was delivered was the day I got out of the hospital after flipping my truck on BLACK ICE. This was a really good book it had me right to the end , a couple of times I thought I had the answers but then it twisted and turned and I was wrong, so even though I knew some of the players ahead of time it was a good read.Book Review: A Real Page Turner

This is the 2nd book in the Harry Bosch Series. I would recommend reading all the Harry Bosch novels in the proper order. Most all of these books are either rated 4 or 5 stars by me. I have been very pleased with the way Michael Connelly writes. He leaves nothing out and as usual Harry Bosch is a real fascinating character. You will not be disappointed if you like police investigative mysteries.
