Bought this on a whim, and was very surprised that this book actually has a good deal of quality and historical content which is what I was looking for. Written in three languages it presents the historical direction of a good many "Male Photographers" whom we have all (in gay land)crossed paths with if we realize it or not. The "Prize" on the cover is just a cheep trick to get the reader, and yes there is a good deal to read, to open the cover and in my case skip over the pictures for text, and have an interesting exploration of the men who offered them selves for service of the photographer. The only disappointment is that the ending about the men who worked was not more extensive.Book Review: SEMI-ERECT

There's something a little sloppy about this book, as some of the legendary models are not even identified. Perhaps the author and editor are not as into the subject matter as one might have hoped? A review of the well-known vintage male physique photography website [...] would have allowed more conscientious authors to identify these hung yet unsung heroes.Book Review: Worked for me...indirectly

I am a straight female who got this book out of pure curiosity. Come on girls, a book that is solely dedicated to big penises! Well, it is a big book, and it does have a LOT of penis in it. Real photographs of naked men. I was sadly disappointed though, because the book just gave me a "gay" vibe while thumbing through all those pages of penis. It has chapters of the history of different male photographers, all gay, who have their pictures of their photographed men. Most of the men are really unattractive, and some of the penises too. Well, if you are a gay man, you are probably going to LOVE this book and put it on your coffee table with pride! Otherwise, you might want to hold on to your cash.
P.S. I'm going to sell mine back through Amazon.
