Book Reviews of The Beginning (Animorphs, No 54)

Book Review: A fitting end to one of the best loved series
Summary: 5 Stars

First off, why can't most people get the reason for KAA's ending? It wasn't rushed like Everworld, it was perfect, thought out, and probably rewritten more times than is healthy. She wanted to end it as it began, in a fight. Animorphs was never about happy endings people, and anyone whose read the whole of the series should know that. The end was tragic, hurtful, and unclear. Exactly how their lives were. To make it so everyone became happy, Jake and Cassie put aside all problems and raised a loving family, and Rachel didn't die and Tobias turned human permanently and they lived happily ever after, and Ax never became captured, wouldn't have been true to the Animorph series. So for everyone who can't be mature enough to grasp the truth behind this book well...I feel sorry for you. All in all this is a great book, capturing and provocing ending that I'll never forget.

Book Review: What is up with you reviewers?
Summary: 5 Stars

Looking at a lot of the reviews for Animorphs #54, The Beginning, I see that many people did not like the ending to the Animorphs series. I for one thought that K.A. Applegate had a good reason to end the series were she did (did most of you read the "Letter to the Fans" at the end of the book?). And to add to this, the letter that she sent to Animorphs webpages (one being morphz.com) telling her reasoning. However, I do agree with the review that said that book #54 should have ended at the funeral, with more dialogue to make the book the normal Animorphs length, then end with Megamorphs #5. And by the way, my friend finished the last three books that weekend, and said that she enjoyed the ending, only that it was disappointing to have one of the characters die and the Animorphs to split up. (See my other review).

Book Review: An ending well worth the wait.
Summary: 5 Stars

Rachel and the other Animorphs have fought in secret for over three years, and now the final battle is about to take place. "My name is Jake." Those are the words that started it all and nobody ever imagined it would end like this. The final battle is here and the Animorphs can't afford to lose this one. In order to win the war the Animorphs are going to have to make a sacrifice, whether they want to or not, because in a war there can't be victory without loss. K. A. ended this series perfectly, in my humble opinion. The characters reactions to everything were perfect and the twist at the end was just right. All Animorphs fans have to read this book, but what Animorphs fan wouldn't read the last, and best, book in the series.

Book Review: I can't believe that Applegate ended the series!
Summary: 5 Stars

The ending to the Animorphs series wasn't that disturbing, it was just slightly different than all the other books. The most disturbing part was that Applegate made Rachel get killed off, which made me very angry since Rachel was my fav Animorph!!! The ending was a bit boring...I wanted to find out what happened after they rammed the Blade Ship...they probably would have died anyways. The Jake/Cassie breakup wasn't that bad...I mean, since book 50 every fan knew that it was going to happen. I just wished that she made the ending happy, not total devastation and destruction!!! But, since I'm a big Animorphs fan, I'd still have to give the book 5 out of 5 stars.
