Book Reviews of The Beginning (Animorphs, No 54)

Book Review: Its all Over
Summary: 5 Stars

Wow, it's finally over. The book was great, easily the best yet. I can't tell you who dies, even though some reviews already have. I wish the series could of continuied, as I have read the series for five years, never missing a book. The extremely bittersweet endng, but with more bitter than sweet. The cconclusion to the book leaves you hanging, never knowing sopme of the man questions. Like you never know who exactly wins, Crayak or the Ellimist. The book really ties all the other aspects together, with only the frst 40 pages or so actually explaning the end to it all. The other 120 pages is the aftermath, and the final adventure. It is, like I said, A very sad ending, and we shall always miss Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Marco, Tobias, and Ax, but we shall always remember them. As K.A. Applegate herself says from the letter to the fans at the end of the book, "It is strange to think I wll never write 'My name is...' again." So to sum it sall up, it was a great book to end a great series. So goodbye everyone, and I hoped everybody enjoyed the series as much as did.

Book Review: A disappointment? No, what it is an end
Summary: 5 Stars

Perhaps you were afraid of it ending, but I don't see why people rated this book lowly. Yes, it ended on a cliffhanger, but like K.A. Applegate said- they had come in on a battle and now they will go out in a battle. Starting a new series or continuing to write the Animorphs series wouldn't be so great. K.A. Applegate had already made the mistake of writing too many 'filler' books. I, for one, think that it's best that we know that there are more adventures. It isn't really an end, but a prelude of more that was going to happen. It was the beginning, but this time, we won't be following them on their battles. You can call her rotten. She gave you permission in her letter. But K.A. Applegate didn't really want to end the series, I think. But she knew that she had to so that she could move on. So she did the best she could and what anyone in her position would do. She wrote an ending that left the series open but still concluded. While other series are just dead at the last book, it's nice to know that some people like K.A. Applegate have decided to keep things alive.

Book Review: Why can't there be 10 stars?
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was just GREAT. SERIOUSLY GREAT. I loved and hated the ending! I don't want to admit it, but it was a very well thought up ending. But I don't want it all to end like this! I want to learn of what happens to the remaining 4 animorphs, what happens AFTER jakes decides to ram the ship. I want to know what happened to Ax, like who or what possessed him. So many questions answer yet new questions rose to meet the answered ones. If I could, I would go up to Applegate, and literally beg her to write a sequel or something of Animorphs...it just CAN'T end like this.

One side of me sighs and said, "So, it has finally ended, this GREAT series of book. The other side says, "NOOO!!! This cannot be happening!! It ends like that?! Why!? Nooooo....!!!" and wants to rip the book apart.

I remember I was reading the books and asking whether or not maybe yeerks were real and my parents were probably infected. Maybe that was why they are so naggy and annoying.
Anyways, this is still the best ending ever out of all the other endings that are cliffhangers.

Book Review: A Great Finale to An Amazing Series
Summary: 5 Stars

While I read the Animorphs books around the age of 11 or 12, I can remember how hooked I was on the entire series. The idea of kids that acquired alien powers and then used them to fight an underground battle on their own planet was obviously an original one. Applegates writing was well done and rarely seemed to drag on. This final book had a very different mood then all the other books that which again was due to Applegate's keen mind. Any young person who reads the series cover to cover will feel disapointed in the ending. However, one should not be mislead by these other reviews. The ending was an appropriate one for a story such as this and while I'm sure many readers feel that the plot could continue, all tales must come to an end and I could think of no better way to do that then in the final book in the animorphs saga, The Beginning.

P.S. Do not read the other reviews if you plan on reading this book for they will ruin the entire ending for you!

Book Review: Animorphs: An amazing, thrilling read
Summary: 5 Stars

To get things started: no, I'm not one of those people who work for the company that sells the product they're reviewing, and say, "this iz da bom!". (and I've bet you've seen a few reviews like that somewhere.) Well...anyway, this is the end of the Animorphs series, ironicly titled, "The Beginning". As one reviewer had said, in most books, the animorphs find out what's wrong, make a plan, every so often everything doesn't go right, they end up aggrivating the Yeerks. (if you do not understand the word "yeerk" there, I don't thing you should start out the series with this book.) This book was a very, very interesting read, and it had me hooked until the end. And, I wanted more. The ending is somewhat disipointing, and I mean no offence to Miss Applegate. I really enjoyed this book, and I can't wait for the next series by K.A A., coming out in June. I hope it's as good (maybe even better) then the Animorphs series.
