A wonderful reference. A wide variety of skills. I've been frustrated in the past by a book mentioning a similar skill without giving any more than a name leaving me to search other books if I'm interested. Or worse just vague discriptions with no names or even a paragraph.
This solves that and gets your imagination working.

The best and most comprehensive book for creating texture in fabric. This book shows you many ways to manipulate fabric. I am an experienced sewer and find the instructions very understandable. There really cant be many more ways, than shown here, to manipulate fabric in a pleasing manner for any type of sewing. An excellent book.Book Review: Amazing ways to manipulate fabric!

I have yet to make a project from the instructions in this book, however I have read through the entire thing and find the instructions easy to understand, the pictures clear and easy to see, and the finished projects are really beautiful works of art. I hope to use these techniques in some costumes I'm making in the next year.Book Review: Not like any book in my library!

I first found out about this book a few years ago - kept it in my head and FINALLY purchased. I'd come across quite a few techniques in my travels, but the book just lays everything out so succinctly. If you're even considering this book - BUY IT. I didn't pay too much attention to the number of pages when purchasing this book and was pleasantly surprised when I received it! Packed full of descriptive text, gorgeous examples and clear images to inspire! A useful and wonderful tool for any serious sewer, and a must-have for my library.
