Alice Sebold took me on a "trip into her world" by sharing the inner thoughts and feelings of a woman who killed her mother. I found myself reliving similar incidents from my childhood that I'd quite forgotten about, and she made Helen's decision seem quite plausible. This is a great book. I am a huge fan of Alice Sebold's and couldn't put this down! Her memoir, "LUCKY" was very well written. "THE LOVELY BONES" was a great novel. Now, this.....awesome!!
