Book Review: Great Resource!! Now How Can I Find These Movies!!!!

Great resource loaded with helpful tidbits. Yes I am 44 and remember the opening sequence and watching the colorful ABC logos fly by in illusionistic wonder as though whatever movie coming on was gonna be special. Duel, Trilogy of Terror, The Forgotten Man, A Short Walk To Daylight, The Man Who Cried Wolf,Bad Ronald,The Girl Who Came Giftwrapped, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Brians Song, The Night Stalker were all special and now I must ask where have they gone. Or should I say whose vault are these classic treasures in. Because the garbage on ABC as well as the other big 4 networks is keeping me away from the set and spending more time reading these great tributes of classical television nostalgia. Why not bring these back or bring new Movies of the Week made just for Television to Prime Time. We are losing our Family oriented TV. Lets get rid of the Reality TV, and get the reality that we need and that is more classic TV, If Hallmark, Lifetime, TNT, USA, HBO, etc can do good Made for TV Movies why can't the big four get their MOJO in gear and get back to the roots of classic TV Programing. First TV movies of the Week, then TV Theme Songs, TV Sitcoms, whats next, Little TV Station Holographic Logos showing up in the bottom right corner of your TV screen the whole program, Ooops!!!!

Movies made for television were in their infancy when ABC came up with a novel idea: a weekly series of films made exclusively for the small screen. The ABC Movie of the Week became a great success and a cultural touchstone for a generation of Americans.More than 200 films in the series are reviewed, including such well-remembered titles as Duel, Tribes, The Six Million Dollar Man, Go Ask Alice, Brian?s Song, The Night Stalker, Bad Ronald, Starsky and Hutch, Trilogy of Terror, That Certain Summer, Killdozer, and many more. In addition, choice bits of trivia about the actors and films are sprinkled throughout the book.
With a Foreword by Denise Nickerson (of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) and commentary by David Hedison (The Fly, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea).
