Book Review: So real and moving
Summary: 5 Stars
Living in Massachusetts I thought that this would just be a recount of the events of the scandal at Milton Academy. But it was so much more. To see what these characters went through was really thought provoking and the weighing of their actions really brought up a lot of questions about teenagers in this day and age. I really liked Silas as a character. I usually don't like Shreve's novels but I bought this the first day it came out. A wonderful, emotional read!Book Review: 5 Stars
This is a GREAT book!I just re-read it this weekend. So I remembered the plot.
This made the writing all that more amazing.
I think that the headmaster is the central character. I wish he had been developed a bit more.
But this is a first rate, amazing story.

I could not put it down. I am a fan of Anita Shreve. Some of her books I loved some were just ok. This one grabbed me from the start. I really enjoyed the fact that each chapter came from a different character and and their version of what happened. Some were sympathetic, some not.I really liked this book!Book Review: Unable to stop reading once I started!!!

i didnt think her last two books were that great, but this one im happy to say i couldnt put down....good or bad i always savor her books, im not that way with every author. I think the characters all came through with their own pain, and i liked them all. Look forward to her next one!!
