Quincie's parents died several years ago, leaving the restaurant that will someday be hers and herself in the care of her uncle D.
For years Kieran, a werewolf, has been her best friend, and she has been thinking about more for a long time.
When her close friend and the chief at her beloved restaurant is brutally murdered, and she finds out how soon Kieran will be leaving her, their friendship is more strained, especially since he wants her to change the vampire theme of the restaurant.
There is lots of steamy references, and underage drinking though no one ever gets drunk it is not stopped by her parental figures, but encouraged. But once you get to the end, you understand why.
I felt that i wanted to see more the character's emotions. After the death of the chief people didn't seem very upset.
The story was interesting. I liked the ending a lot. Quincie made lots of mistakes and she realized them in the end and started fixing them.
