Book Review: A Very Good Read

This is a very good book as far as reading goes. You could also learn a few things in the process. There are many "how-to" books out there and a true adventure-fishing story can be a refreshing change. So if you are interested in good, entertaining real life fishing stories or accounts, pick this book up.It is an amazing insight into the days gone by, the abundance of fish and how close to shore they could be caught.
I could not help but notice certain pent up anger and arrogance in the text directed at other pioneering anglers that I felt was unjustified, unfair and may be even incorrect. If this book is not a tribute to pioneering big-game anglers it certainly a tribute to Zane Grey himself. But all in all it was a bloody good read.
Summary of Tales of Swordfish and Tuna
Zane Grey fished up to 300 days a year. But, with all that time on the water there was nothing more exciting or more compelling than the really BIG fish-- the giants of the sea. Blue fin tuna are (even today) still sometimes pursued with harpoons!General Books
