This is not at all like the original. It is not the same type of allegory, it doesn't remind me of books like the original Watership Down or Animal Farm at all. It's not making the same types of comments or comparisons. However, the actions of the characters do reflect on human beings, particularly some of our worst psychological behaviors like complacency and herd mentality. I enjoyed reading this and feel it is a good book.
