Book Review: Definitley one of my favorite series - storyline resonates with me!
Summary: 5 Stars
I am completely head over heels in love with this series. I can hardly wait until the next book comes out in March! I love this series because I feel the storyline is so relevant to a lot of what's going on today. I love Chase and Keith's storyline, Bailey and Cody's, and Andi's story as well. I love that this book is able to connect with people on all different levels and in various age groups. I'm in my 20s and absolutely love this series.
First of all, Cody and Bailey's story is just so moving. They are both in love with each other and are slowly finding their way to each other (which can be painful at times - Bailey break up with Tim already!). I just love to see God writing their love story. It's so true to life how you can be with a person who seems to have everything, yet is simply NOT the one. That is what Tim is to Bailey - a great guy who is simply not the RIGHT guy for her. I can't wait until Cody and her finally get together.
Secondly, Keith and Chase's storyline is really powerful as well. They are struggling to shine the light of Christ in a world that is covered in darkness and specifically an industry that is swarmed in darkness as well. Yet the push on as God continues to open and close doors for them. I can't wait to see the end result.
Andi's story resonates with me as well. Though I never went through the things Andi went through, I have seen many Andi's during my college careers. Girls who start out serving the Lord but start out compromising very slowly, until finally the sin consumes them as they refuse to break away from it. Andi's storyline is heartbreaking, because she literally starts out questioning here and there..but then full fledge gives herself away. And for what? Someone who will take a piece of her and move on to the next girl? My heart broke reading this part of the book. I truly hope, and believe, that Andi will find hope and fullfillment in Christ by the end of the series.
In the end, the series is one that anyone can read and make a connection with in some way. I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.
