I *love* this book! Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about - the reproduction in this book is stunning - colors are vibrant and rich. Too thin? 96 pages as stated here on Amazon - I think it's just right."Taboo: the Art of Tiki" includes many of my favorite artists including Mark Ryden and the Clayton Brothers (check out their new book "Most Special Day of My Life"). There is a nice variety of works here - paintings, sculptures, carvings, photos and even a few digital works. A wonderful introduction to all things Polynesian-Pop from the tireless Sven Kirsten, and an insightful essay by the always interesting Boyd Rice.
Tiki and American 50s/60s pop culture fans should definitely pick up this book. I also highly recommend Kirsten's "Book of Tiki" and Duke Carter's "Tiki Quest" (some of Carter's black velvet paintings are featured in "Taboo").
