Book Reviews of SwimsuitBook Review: Good for what it is Summary: 4 Stars
I have largely been disappointed by Patterson lately...or whoever is actually writing the books. I read You've Been Warned on Vacation in Feb and then vowed to never read another of his books again. Yes, it's that bad. However, a friend of mine gave me Swimsuit as a gift and I was going on another beach vacation so I took it along and have to admit it kept me interested dispite the illogical plot. It certainly is graphic and not meant for those who are easily offended. I do give it 4 stars for being a beach read...it is not a great piece of work by any stretch of the imagination but nor is it supposed to be. Happy reading!
Book Review: Enjoyable Summary: 4 Stars
I am a Patterson fan, and after reading the reviews for this book, I was hesitant to read it. I'm glad I didn't listen to all of the negativity. I rather enjoyed the book and saw it as a pretty typical Patterson read- quick and captivating. I was afraid of the extreme gore that I read reviews about, and even thought about not reading it before bed for fear of having nightmares, as some reviews made these scenes sound so graphic and extreme! Not the case at all!
Overall, the story kept my interest and I think it's worth the time to read if you're looking for an entertaining, quick and easy read.
Book Review: A Great Summer Read! Summary: 4 Stars
I love all of James Patterson's books, but I was hesitant to buy this book after reading the reviews. I must say that I am very pleased with the purchase of this book at the $9.99 kindle rate, since I was waiting for the price to decrease from $15.00.
Swimsuit is the famous Aruba case meets Hostel. The book is very descriptive.....a serial killer (Henri) sells his violent murders, as a short film to various wealthy peepers (as they are referred to in the book). Ben, an ex-cop and freelance writer is solicited by Henri to write his biography and the fun and games begin.
Book Review: Paetro and Patterson make a great team! Summary: 4 Stars
First I have to give full disclosure. I am a Patterson addict! I love his fast paced thrillers, they are easy reads that always keep me entertained. However, I must admit the most recent Alex Cross novels have not been as engaging as the earlier books. My new favorites are the books he is writing with Maxine Paetro and SWIMSUIT is a another great read! This one has some great surprises and unexpected twists. It does not follow typical thriller plot liner which for me added to the suspense! Highly recommended!
Book Review: Swimsuit by James Patterson Summary: 4 Stars
I have over 40 1st edition hardback books by James Patterson. I have ordered books from a few places and got something short of a 1st edition hardback. I like to know exactly what I am getting, so I don't have to go through the process of returning an item and begin to look anew. I also have a Kindle which I use for a lot of my paperbacks. I am very satisfied with Amazon; its store; service; and quick response to questions or problems. Hard to say how you could improve on that.
