Book Review: I BOUGHT THREE!!
Summary: 5 Stars
And I'm so glad I did. This book is PACKED with the enough of the big picture to really shed light on how dangerous this stuff is. Read about Monsanto and saccharine in 1901. Read about how Splenda produces more air pollution than our dirtiest tire factory or oil refinery. Splenda. Yay.
This book is a great read! If you are looking for a window into the sordid history of the U.S., "Sweet Deception" is a good place to start. If you are looking for an easy way to promote your family's health, start with "Sweet Deception".
My husband drank Diet Dr. Pepper by the two-liter, at least 2 a day, EVERY DAY, the entire time I knew him. This guy's body was his enemy, with 2 major car accidents, scoliosis, and arthritis under his belt. He was so bad off that he had to hold on to something to sneeze, or his entire body would crumple in pain and he is a big, tough, active guy despite his limitations.
When I told him that aspartame turns into formaldehyde in your blood, he stopped drinking it immediately. I'd told him a bunch of other evil things about it, but that was the one that got him. Two weeks later he was standing in the kitchen and he sneezed 3 times in a row, and he just STOOD THERE!! and when he looked up, he was bleary-eyed and smiling, and I said "Didn't that hurt?" And he told me, no, not a bit, and then that he hadn't sneezed without pain in 15 years. I almost cried, but instead I said "told you so".
He's so much better now! We had no idea all these years that so many of his problems were directly caused by the slow embalming job he was doing on himself. (also, the fact that he replaced the soda with water has helped) DRINK WATER!! YOU'RE MADE OF IT!!!)
Thank you, Dr. Mercola! I hope they don't give you cancer with their microwave technology.
