Book Review: Definitive, Awesome, Death!

They ought to scan reviews so people with downs syndrome don't bog down worthy items. The dude who mentions All that remains and As I Lay Dying as being awesome is just an ignorant wipe. Anyone who actually likes From Autumn to Ashes shouldn't be posting about a death metal book!
As for the book, well if you are a big time deathhead you'll find lots to love, and you will find tons and tons of info you didn't know. The writing is a bit more bland than I'd hopes but the book was done with so much care and reverence for the classic Swedish bands that it's easy to overlook. I grew up around death metal but obviously not living in Sweden it took me a while to get together the whole history, and way too many CD's! With this book, the history is there for you and there are tons of awesome bands to learn about. Black metal definitely gets the shaft, but this is Swedish Death Metal, go figure!
Whether you're a lifelong metalhead or just getting deathly, this book will be a tremendous read. I'd hope this book would help break people who still think MTV is relevant with extreme music. Put down the corny cheeseball vocal melodies and enter a darker world.
