SURVIVOR MAD LIBS is a themed book of Mad Libs. The theme is the grand-daddy of reality television, SURVIVOR. There are a few Mad Libs that are specifically about SURVIVOR, but there are also quite a few that have more of an outdoor theme with the name SURIVOR thrown in. A few of the selections include Outwit, Outplay, Outlast; The Race Is On!; The SURVIVOR Diner; Puzzle It Out; Jungle Gym; Blue's Clues; and Gone Fishing. For those who are unfamiliar with Mad Libs, Mad Libs are a popular word game that uses parts of speech to create crazy stories. The game can be played with as few as two people and as many as forty (though the most I've played it with is 32). Mad Libs books are especially popular with pre-teens and middle school students. MAD LIBS SURVIVOR has a more narrow focus than some of the other Mad Libs. Younger students might not know much about the show, but students who do will probably find MAD LIBS SURVIVOR a particular treat. I recommend taking a few Mad Libs from various tv themed Mad Libs, e.g. SURVIVOR, AMERICAN IDOL, etc. so students who enjoy different tv shows can feel more involved. This version of Mad Libs works well as a game or tool in a language arts class and is also good to use as a game during long car trips with children.
