Every Woman Deserves a Michael...
Whether he's real or imaginary...having a Michael to love and guide you through life is a definite "must have". Jane certainly benefited by having both an imaginary Michael and a real-life Michael by her side. He helped her deal with an overpowering mother, Vivienne Margaux (the magnificent Vivienne, by the way), a worthless prima donna boyfriend named Hugh McGrath, who deserved that punch in the face and then some, along with a lifetime of fighting the urge to splurge on ice cream sundaes and Oreo cookies.
Every woman deserves a diamond ring, too, even if she has to buy it for herself from Tiffany's!
Written with Gabrielle Charbonnet, (a children's writer from North Carolina) Sunday's at Tiffany's is a pleasant diversion coming from the likes of James Patterson. Part fantasy, part reality and all of it blended seamlessly together to form a magical story of undying love and romance.
It is a love story, yes, but not a sappy one, not really. It's a fast read, too, and I finished it in two days, in between living life and doing chores. Patterson's short chapter style of writing is growing on me the more I read him.
Sundays at Tiffany's was an utterly enjoyable escape for me on a rainy, stormy weekend in June.

As a little girl, Jane has no one. Her mother, the powerful head of a Broadway theater company, has no time for her. She does have one friend-a handsome, comforting, funny man named Michael-but only she can see him.Years later, Jane is in her thirties and just as alone as ever.
