Book Reviews of Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, Book 4)Book Review: Author is a great story teller Summary: 5 Stars
These books are great! If you love science fiction you will love these books. The author is funny, witty and holds your interest from cover to cover. I ordered the complete set and read through it in a week! I hope they bring the television series back to SciFi. It is more entertaining a series that SciFi brought back, Dr. Who, or as I call it "the doctor's non habit forming sleep remedy"! I'm going to reread them soon since I enjoyed them so much! I'm sure there were things I missed on the first go around. I'm also looking forward to the next book in the series.
Book Review: Another great Jim Butcher Dresden File Book Summary: 5 Stars
Well, first of all, I just love the Dresden File series. This is not a children's book and Harry Potter he is not. I wish the series wouldn't be labeled as fantasy because more people would otherwise read them. I love every book and they just get better and better. The plots are intricate, the writing is superb. I love the way he writes and Harry Dresden is a wonderful character. He has a great dry sense of humor. His bad guys are great and the rest of the characters are just great. Thank you Jim Butcher. There is only one problem: each book is my favorite.
Book Review: This series is like Heroin Summary: 5 Stars
I just recently picked up Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series 2 months ago. I thought I would just give it a go...and I am now on book 5! I'm reading these books as quick as I can get my little mitts on them. They are seriously addictive. Butcher does a great job filling the books with great mythology and loveable characters. I would hang out with Harry in an instant, and who doesn't love Bob? If you are debating giving these books ago--do it, and soon-- otherwise people will think you're just reading them because you saw the series on the Sci Fi channel!
Book Review: Wow! Summary: 5 Stars
"Summer Knight" is the 4th in Butcher's "Dresden Files" series. All I can say is that it's excellent. The book picks up about 9 months after the previous one (Grave Peril (The Dresden Files, Book 3) ends and immediately grabs your attention and drags you back in. Even better, this time around, Butcher emphasizes the fantasy side of his universe. The writing's great and the story's entirely engrossing. Overall, I rate it at an Excellent 5 stars out of 5.
Book Review: The best Dresden title so far Summary: 5 Stars
Butcher's getting better as he goes, I think. If you liked the prior books, you should really like this one. Harry's a bit less abused, a bit more on top of his game. Lots of scenes involving the Sidhe, all memorable and stylish and fun - including a truly epic battle to finish the book!
Dresden Files Book 1 was a fast read, and a lot of fun. Books 2 and 3 I also enjoyed, but they didn't have the surprise factor that the first had, and at times my attention wandered a bit. Book 4 blew 'em all away. I'm looking forward to 5!
