Book Reviews of Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives

Book Review: Sum it up!
Summary: 5 Stars

A really excellent book. I bought it after hearing a review on the radio. and was not disappointed. There were 40 different after-life scenarios from the author's imagination. Most were either thought-provoking or amusing; and in the best cases both. A few were repetitive or picked up potentially from elsewhere (eg H2G2) but the majority saamped this minority.
Highly recommended.

Book Review: Thanks ...
Summary: 5 Stars

Absolutely outstanding read - amazingly refreshing ...

JBS Haldane (British born Indian Geneticist: 1892 - 1964) once was quoted to say: "The Universe is not only queerer than we imagine - it is queerer than we can imagine".

Most of us do not try, know how, or even want to "imagine" - you can and did - many thanks for a wonderful book!!!

Book Review: About LIfe, not the afterlife
Summary: 5 Stars

I heard the title story read on NPR and could not get it out of my head until I had bought the book. Now i have read it several more times, and the next few stories too. Actually the stories are prose-poems, wonderful musings on aspects of life that I had not thought about before. The insights into life seems both true yet very odd--this guy really thinks differently.

Book Review: An imaginative delight
Summary: 5 Stars

Dave Eagleman has written a delightful series of imaginative romps through the afterlife, as only a neuroscientist could do. Although his takes on the matter are as changing as the turn of each page, his consistent voice reflects insight, mystery and humor, in equal measures.

Book Review: So good!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't usually write Amazon reviews, but this book is so good I had to. Brilliant concept and beautifully executed to make reading it a profound experience. It is a book that stretches your mind and lets you see possibilities. It is simply an amazing read.
