From the supplier: California Initiative 197 was a proposal to lift the ban on the hunting of mountain lions in the state. Opponents of Initiative 197 had to contend with strong public support for the proposal as well as a relatively small media campaign budget. The initiative was defeated by a wide margin, in large part due to an unconventional media campaign which targeted its markets and focused its efforts only on likely voters.
