Book Reviews of Strength Training Anatomy - 2nd EditionBook Review: Great Information Summary: 5 Stars
I have been lifting for years and this book helped me really see what was going on with the muscles in action. It is a good reference to see the correct form and muscles being used in various exercises and the details of the drawings are wonderful. It also has tips for avoiding injuries and working around them if they do happen. All-in-all I am very pleased with this book, if you are into body building or just interested in how the muscles work during motion I would highly recommend this book.
Book Review: One hell of a book Summary: 5 Stars
From what I've seen so far, this book is a pleasure to read. There are many, many (and I mean it) many illustrations in color and b&w and these are not grainy photos but drawings of high caliber. They illustrate the different muscles that are worked out while you exercise. I hope they make a PDF version. Books are so outdated on this 21st century and I hate to keep bookshelves full of them when I can carry hundreds of books on my computer's hard drive. Are you listening Human Kinetics?
Book Review: Great hand book for training Summary: 5 Stars
This book gives all the info you need to learn how to correctly weightlift or bodybuild. Showing the muscle structure and types of movements that affect that particular muscle is great for those that are learning, for those that that need to make sure that correct form is used. And best of all the pages in each section that covers injuries, How to avoid them and how to tell if you might have been injured by symptom reference. Great book for those learning and those not yet perfect.
Book Review: Great book if you are interested in targeting specific muscles Summary: 5 Stars
I already had a great workout book, the Men's Health Workout Bible (ISBN: 1579546579), only $12,97 here at Amazon. However, while that book is great at showing you which exercises to do with each type of equipment and giving you sample workouts, it does not show you the specific muscles that are being targeted. Combined with this book you can't go wrong. The Strength Training Anatomy has incredible illustrations and shows you EXACTLY which muscles are being used for each exercise.
Book Review: Outstanding information Summary: 5 Stars
Great book. It shows you some of the best exercises for each of the different muscle groups. Along with showing you the actual muscle being worked in the excercise, it tells you how to do the excercise and usually tips and variations of it. Pick this book up if your wanting to know new excercises to add to your workouts, a newcomer to weight-training, or just wanting to know the exact muscles being worked by particular excercises. You wont be dissapointed with your purchase.
