Book Reviews of Strangers in DeathBook Review: Another wonderful Lt. Dallas book. Summary: 5 Stars
I have read this entire series and each book seems to get better. This one is my favorite by far. I love Eve's snappy comments and banter with Peabody and, of course, with Roarke but I feel that the thing I enjoyed most is how Eve and Roarke's relationship seems to deepen with each book. They have been married for awhile and you can feel how comfortable they are with one another, how they anticipate one another and how much they love one another. This warmth is a wonderful backdrop to what is always an ugly and brutal murder. This book also introduced the little boy, Tiko and I wonder if the author plans to bring him back in other books. The introduction of his character is significant as both Dallas and Roarke were neglected and abused children. Tiko, on the other hand, is fortunate enough to have a loving grandmother who is raising him. This may prove significant for Dallas and Roarke while they still refer to and work through their childhood traumas.
Book Review: Strangers In Death Summary: 5 Stars
When I happened upon Naked In Death and finished, I was hooked. I immediately started to purchase all the books in order and could not stop.I did not think when I first read the synopsis of Naked In Death that I would be interested in a futuristic police/romance book of any kind. Boy, was I wrong. I have read each book at least ten times (sounds sick I know) but each time I read them, it's as if I am reading them for the first time. I am anxiously awaiting the November releases. My only wish for Eve and Roarke is that some baby comes into the picture, one where they can bond to a child and experience the love and nurturing they did not have as children. Maybe, they can keep Mavis' baby for a while due to her schedule of something. I want to see how they would respond and maybe decide to have their own child. Eventually they have to have a family, this is Roarke's desire down the road as he says to have children.
Book Review: Yet another great addition to the series... Summary: 5 Stars
This is another great addition to the series. Although we know who the suspect is early on, the mystery is in how Eve is going to prove it. The plot is interesting and fast-paced, and the interaction between Eve, Roarke, and the rest of the crew is always wonderfully done (one of the author's strengths is characterization and dialogue). Although the relationship between Eve and Roarke wasn't the main focus in this book, it was still an integral part of the story - the author definitely keeps the spark going between these two! Very well done. Looking forward to the next one.
Book Review: Strangers In Death Summary: 5 Stars
As always this is another hit! The plot keeps you on the edge, there is no clear road. There are twists and turns in every new chapter.
The relationship between personalties is wonderful and very real, oh, to have such friends. Never a bad book by J. D. Robb aka Nora Roberts.
Book Review: Great!, as always Summary: 5 Stars
Every one of the (In Death) books are great! This one is no exception. I love the intracacies of Lt. Dallas and Roark's relationship, the bantering, subtle humor and sizzling sex scenes! I highly recommend Strangers in Death. You won't be disappointed.
