I got the original small book with only a few photos years ago (still available) This is the same book with tons more high quality photos and a real visual treat! Stoney was an incredible old school tattoo artist who supported himself tattooing from the age of 15 to old age, all the while a crippled dwarf in a wheelchair. He worked the circus shows all over the country, opened and closed "short shops" also all over, and finally settled in his shop in Columbus, Ohio. He was a fantastic storyteller, and it's all in this book. He drew all his own flash, and had a perspective on life unmatched anywhere. I suggest that you look him up on Youtube to hear his west Virginia accent and see his tattooing technique, which just inspires me, fast and perfect, no stencil. If you're into tattoo history, this a must have addition to your library.
