I agree with previous reviewer that this is a later edition of a book already on the market--so make sure you don't already own that one.
However, a needle pointer shouldn't complain that a compendium book isn't entirely devoted to needle point stitches. She does admit that there is a whole section on needle point and that many of the other stitches covered are interesting and useful. But with the hundreds of book devoted exclusively to needle point--go buy some of those!
Lucinda Ganderton is an old-hand expert and this book is wonderfully written and illustrated.
Buy it.
