Book Review: Modern Day Tao Te'Ching

This is a marvelous daily meditation piece! If you have read the Tao Te'Ching, then this book will further help you understand the universal truths taught there and in all great spiritual texts. These truths cannot and do not change - they only can be explained in different ways. Tolle is giving us a modern day explanation and modern examples of living our lives in harmony with spirit.If you have never read the Tao, then you also have some wonderful reading to look forward to. These seemingly simple statements should be read, thought about, and digested over time. As the author says in the beginning, you should NOT read the book all the way through, but slowly savor each piece. Each statement, and the thoughts inbetween, can change your life for the better if just put into practice. Enjoy!
Book Review: What a great book!

If you are new to Eckhart Tolle, I would suggest 'The Power of Now' and the wonderful 'Realizing the Power of Now' as introductions to this amazing material.Personally, after studying Mr Tolle's work for several years I got to a point where no more explanation was really necessary. I think he would say that it's essentially a simple message, but it can be difficult for it to get through our years of habitual and continual mental chatter.
Once you finally find that quiet place, a wonderful little handbook of 'signposts' like 'Stillness Speaks' is really all you need to help get back in that quiet place when you lose it.
I highly recommend this book to those who have experienced for themselves the stillness that Eckhart tries to help us find in ourselves.

Book Review: In a Class by Itself. ASTOUNDING and Beneficial. Wow!

A great compilation of many brief but potent statements, grouped according to categories (nature, relationships, Egoic self, etc...). They point to deep experiential learning that is possible. Few books are as capable as this one of producing deep learning to the open and calm reader. Simply excellent! It is also worth noting that this book can and should be read many times because the teaching will become bigger as you are more prepared from your experiences with the material. Another masterpiece of a book that can help you greatly in this area of personal investigation is "Effortless Wellbeing" by Evan Finer. They both have the ability to teach deeply, in a concise way, by pointing the direction and letting you learn. Highly recommended!!Book Review: Another diamond in the rough

Another diamond in the rough of transcendental literature.Ekhart readers please note - if you read to gather facts & data as in an academic research approach, you'll find nothing new here. If, on the other hand, you appreciate the value of constantly exercising your dormant 'spirituality muscles' on a routine basis, then you'll find E. Tolle has put himself into the position of exercise coach in a beautifull & constantly uplifting manner in this book.
Just open the book & 60 seconds later you've got that nudge; changing the direction, focus & content of your awareness. If you like to be constantly nudged out of programmed mind patterns, you'll find this book (at the price of 2 beers) to be an indispensible investment.
