Book Review: Stargirl
Summary: 5 Stars
The characters in this wonderful story jump out of the book, bypass your brain and go straight to your heart. Leo, the narrator feels very much like every high school student must feel, and it is portrayed perfectly in the text. Every single experience he has rings true, from his good moments to the ones where, if he were standing before me I would have punched him square in the mouth.
The title character Stargirl Caraway is an amazing bouncing creative individual in a mass of conforming teenagers. She wears outrageous outfits but not because they are revealing or shocking, because they hold more personality than all of the clothing in the school could dream of. She takes the school by storm, but after the storm passes there is trouble.

Stargirl, a fantastic fiction story by Jerry Spinelli, describes how Kevin and Meeka, two good friends, go their own separate ways when Stargirl comes to their school. Stargirl is a weird, mysterious girl that Kevin thinks deserves a spot on the "Hot Seat." The Hot Seat was the in-school TV show. Meeka disagrees with Kevin and leaves him. Jerry Spinelli adds a shocking twist and the end, which urges girls every age to read further. Spinelli also has flashbacks and dreams added to this book to make it one you will not want to put down! This book deals with friendship issues that most teenagers have. I read this book in a week! If you like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, than Stargirl is the book for you.Book Review: Not just for the kiddos!

I read Stargirl in my Children's Literature class in college, and I loved it. To this day, it's still one of my favorites. Despite the fact that Spinelli is a children's book author, he's created a character in Stargirl that anyone at any age can learn a thing or two from. With a hint of fairytale whimsy and more than a few dashes of wisdom, Stargirl, the book, will leave you entertained and inspired. I've read it 3 times and I'm 22 years old...so if you're an adult who is tired of the monotonous and melodramatic fiction novels, don't let the fact that Stargirl is a children's book deter you from reading it! Even as a future elementary school teacher, I recommend this book to anyone and everyone! :)Book Review: Stargirl gets 5 stars!

I would highly recommend the book Stargirl. It is an interesting book that you just want to keep reading. Stargirl is about a high school student. She is very different and is just her self she doesn't worry about what other people think. She is unlike most high school kids who want to fit in. She is liked and also unliked by her high school. People just don't know how to react to her. She is so different and almost unreal. This intriguing book will hold your attention. I never wanted to put this book down. It is a book that many people could relate to about the high school struggle to just be yourself. I would definitely give 5 stars to Stargirl. :)Book Review: Touching

Jerry Spinelli is one of those few authors who can take a completely crazy character and makes us learn to adore them. Of all Spinelli's books, Stargirl is my very favorite. It's a quick read, but one your not likely to forget. A girl who call herself Stargirl is something of a blessing to the high school Leo attends. It used to be utterly boring, until she arrived. She doesn't care what people think of her, she does what she wants, and she cares for everybody. Without anyone knowing she sends gifts. I have read this book many times and will continue to do so. I highly recommend this book to everybody of all ages and gender.
