Thanks to all the wonderful reviews, I ordered this book with confidence for my 7 year old son who is a total Star Wars fanatic. The first book I received was defective and only one of the light sabres lit up. Amazon was fantastic and shipped a replacement that I got the very next day. THANKS AMAZON!! Order this book for the Star Wars lover -- they will flip over it. My son cannot put it down. My suggestion is that if you order it for a gift, open it first to make sure the light sabres both work. My 5 year old came up to me in the bookstore and said, "They have a whole encyclopedia of Star Wars over here." and showed me this book.
Even though its the most expensive book I've bought for him, it's absolutely worth it.
He's never seen the Star Wars trilogy, but he now knows all the characters and the world of Star Wars. The art and the craftsmanship are stunning and it is a like a puzzle that has multiple unfolding dimensions.
We read it every night and there is something new to discover in each page.

This is the PERFECT book for Star wars fans. I can't say a single bad thing about it. I cannot find a single flaw. In addition to giving you information about the movies, there are stunning, unbelievably gourgeous pop-ups coviring each page. Also, bgecause pop-up books are normally geared toward children, I want to say that this is for everyone. It is not only for children. It will provide hours of enjoyment and I recommend it to anyone who wants a stunning new addition to their Star Wars collection or who wants to learn more about Star Wars.Book Review: This is unbelievably awesome!!

All right, so we just picked this one up at Borders (store is closing) and after one flip-though, I'm on Amazon to order another for my friend and his kid. The pop-ups are STUNNING, there is incredible detail, and I can't believe they packed all of this into one book. After going through it with our 4 year old, I remarked to my wife that I would expect to pay well over a hundred dollars for a collectible item of this quality. The Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker light-up sabers at the end are just "WOW".
Really....it's that good.
Book Review: Fun book so many hidden features

This book was bought for a 3 year old for Christmas. I was afraid of the durability as he is a little rough on books. All I can say is WOW! He loves to look at this book every night. His favorite part is opening up the back flaps with Darth Vadar and Luke Skywalker and having a mock battle with their light sabers. It has held up to him opening and shutting the folds and closing the pages rather quickly. We haven't had a chance to read all the details, but all the pop-ups within pop-ups are wonderful and provide surprises every time.
