Book Reviews of Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the GalaxyBook Review: Fantastic gift for the fan who has it all! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this for my 9 year old who saw it at a bookstore (for a much higher price) and couldn't put it down. He got several Star Wars toys at his birthday party but this was the biggest hit. After everything was opened he sat in a chair reading this book and passing it around to everyone at his party. We have two other pop up books - Dinosaur and Shark that are great too. The pop ups are intricate and amazing, and the text is interesting enough to make a 9 year old want to sit and read. Great gift if you don't know what toys a child (or grownup) has, or if you are one of those who like the "educational" gifts.
Book Review: Not Just For Children Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book for my grandson for Christmas. I realized when it was opened that he was way too young for it but, to my surprise the ooohs and ahhhh's from the other family and friends that had gathered prompted me to take a second look. It was hard to get it away from them, but I managed. The detail, the pop up within the pop up within the pop up was just jaw slacking. No one put that book down all night. Even though they all got many interesting gifts and expensive presents, it was this book that brought everything to think, talk and share about Star Wars and revere this fine work of art.
Book Review: Amazing Star Wars Pop Up Book Summary: 5 Stars
This pop up book is truly a work of magic. Star Wars has never been seen like this. A huge book over a foot thick, filled with many pop ups along with one big one for each page you turn. And the fun thing is at the end. The light sabers for Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker actually are made of plastic tubes that light up when you open the two smaller pop ups on the last page. And the battery compartment is on the back cover and you can replace the batteries. One of the best pop up books EVER!!! If you love Pop Up Books, Star Wars and really neat surprises, then this is the book for you.
Book Review: Grandson pleaser! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this book through Amazon because of the fabulous video preview. I bought it for my grandson and he loves it! This book is not for little children, as the pop-ups are quite detailed with many bends and folds. My grandson is 7 and is old enough to know that it is a special book and one must be careful when opening and closing the pages. I was with him for 10 days after giving it to him, and he barely put it down to eat and sleep. He had it with him all the time! This is truly a fabulous book for anyone who loves Star Wars. The light-up swords are an especially exciting feature!
Book Review: A Pop-Up joy for my son! Summary: 5 Stars
I just write to say that my son is four years old and he is already a very big Star Wars fan and that he just love this book. That book covers about everything for episodes 4-5-6. The pop-ups are very imaginatives and ingenious but I would recommend not to let you kid manipulate it especially if he or she is as young as my son. Some of the pop-ups are so complex that even I have to be carefull when I unfold them.
The last pop-up has definetly a very nice touch to it with the two light-up caracters poping up (Luke and darth Vader). A must for every Star wars fan!
