Book Review: A fun "Best Of" collection of Star Trek manga

This book is an attempt to tell stories in the Star Trek universe as manga comics. I think it succeeds very well. The characters act as they did in the Original Series and the situations they find themselves in fit the feel of the series very well. This is a collection of the best stories from three previously published volumes, and it shows it. All of the stories work well.
The conventions of Manga comics allow situations, like the teddy bear alien, that probably wouldn't come up in other types of Start Trek stories. Why not? It's fun to see the Star Trek universe push into new areas even after all these years.
