Book Review: A Perfect Tribute

This book had some great stories and pictures about Brett without digesting an entire biography. It was a nice, fun and easy read and a great book that I am glad I have in my collection.
A few of the stories brought tears to my eyes. Reading about the Raiders game when Brett's dad had passed away the week before was touching. One can't help but think about playing catch with your best friend in the front yard and the encouragement of our parents when reading this story.
The introduction sheds some light on why the media just raved about Brett over the years.
If the stories weren't enough the pages of photographs are amazing, the kind of stuff I expect from SI.
This is a perfect book for a sports fan, great digestable stories and amazing pictures about an amazing football player.

This is a must have and gives you a great trip down memory lane. These are a collection of SI articles, starting from when Brett first went in for the injured Majik, to 2008. There is so much I had forgotten as he matured from the wild gunslinger to the manture leader we all love. I have many books on Favre and this one is especially good. It is written by professional sports writers who captured Favre at various moments in time. It is a great coffee table book, too, because the cover photo is stunning and fits in with any decor--even a sophisticated one.Book Review: Matthew G. If you love Brett Favre, you will love this book.
Sports Illustrated has compiled wonderful pictures taken of Brett from a young child, and brought it to the end of his career for the Green Bay Packers. We learn about Brett, struggles he faced, and watch him grow throughout this book.
Brett is not your normal, average high strung football player. He loves the sport and loves the game. This book explicitly depicts Brett's life, his world, and his wonderful talent.

This book is a gorgeous hardcover tribute to Brett Favre. Looks like a coffee table book that would be a great gift to fans of his, and most football fans, in general. Compilation of Sports Illustrated articles about Favre, with beautiful photos throughout. Great book to get your sons to read if you have trouble engaging them in reading. Very nice tribute to a sports figure who is a good example of hard work, dedication, balance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
